- Hi, I'm Doug, the father of four daughters. I'm a theologian, literary critic and postman living in Bloomington Indiana, in the middle of the US. I am the author of "Covenant and Community: Our Role as the Image of God" (published by Wipf and Stock), and articles in Reformation and Revival Journal, ACT 3 Review, Christianity and Society, Christian Education Journal, Prism magazine, as well as online formats. I have taught literature to a class of kids of mixed ages, from sixth through twelfth grade: a whole year of Shakespeare (what a glorious year that was!), American Lit, and World Lit (Homer to twelve year olds!). How I miss teaching! I read extensively in poetry, theology and other versions of literature, but I especially am drawn again and again to the poets. By the way, please feel free to comment on any post, even old ones. I notice all comments, no matter when the post was originally put up.

if men were angels the world wouldn't be starving, specially Africa. wouldn't be so many children dying everyday for starvation and political ones robbing us all they can...
